BIO 1144 - General Biology II


Liberal Arts 

Class Hours: 3 hours lecture and 2 hours lab.
Semester Credit Hours: 4

A combined lecture and laboratory course for science majors that reinforces concepts introduced in BIO 1134  General Biology I, while emphasizing the diversity of life. Topics include evolution, classification, ecology, detailed consideration of major groups of organisms, viruses, and the study of animals and plants including their anatomy and physiology. Labs associated with this course contain experiments and exercises that reinforce the principles introduced in lecture classes.

Prerequisite(s): ACT science subscore of 18 or higher.
