Veterinary Medical Technology (Leading to BS Transfer), AA


This curriculum aligns with the requirements for the bachelor’s degree in veterinary medical technology offered by the MSU College of Veterinary Medicine. Students should consult the website and other official publications from this program for additional application requirements. Students wishing to use this as a pre-professional preparation for veterinary school (to earn ultimately the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree) will be required to take additional science courses, as designated in the official “Veterinary Medicine” curriculum plan. In addition, an academic advisor may recommend additional or different courses depending upon student career plans and/or requirements of the college or university to which the student plans to transfer.

1Students wishing to apply ultimately for veterinary school (to earn the professional degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) will need additional science requirements including CHE 2424 - Organic Chemistry I  and CHE 2434 - Organic Chemistry II  and PHY 2414 - General Physics I  and PHY 2424 - General Physics II  and can begin one or both of these course sequences during the sophomore year in place of, or in addition to these social science and humanities courses.
