This course continues to emphasize the human as a unique physical being with multiple physiologic and psychosocial needs. This course further explores the components of health and focuses on patient-centered care in the medical-surgical environment. Evidenced-based principles of care provide the rationale for nursing interventions that promote safe, effective patient outcomes.
