Program Requirements:
The following advisement plan is a recommended course of study. Academic programs offered at Jones College are designed to meet the educational needs and advancement of students who plan to transfer course credit to a university and complete a bachelor’s degree. As part of each academic program, students will take courses to meet the Jones College’s general education core requirements and electives as determined by the student and his/her faculty advisor. All academic programs are designed to lead to an Associate of Arts degree.
To streamline the transfer of credit from Jones College to any university in the State of Mississippi, Jones College participates in the articulation agreement between the Mississippi Community College Board and the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning. For the purpose of ensuring transfer-ability within Mississippi, the Mississippi Articulation Transfer Tool (MATT) shall be used to advise and guide students in choosing the best courses to take as part of the requirements to graduate from Jones College with an Associate of Arts degree.

Note(s):
*USM requires 4 semesters of foreign language. MSU, UM, DSU, and MVSU do not require foreign language. All other state universities require 6 hours.
**USM requires 2 lab sciences of the student’s choice. All other state universities require Principles of Bio I and Physical Science I.
***MSU is the only state university that requires Western Civilization I and II in progression.
****MSU and UM are the only two state universities that do NOT require speech.
*****USM requires 6 hours of literature. UM requires 12 hours. MSU requires 15 hours.
